TechBuddy Launches Its At Home Tech Support Service In Germany

CEO Tahero Nori and Managing Director Germany Kathrin DiPaola in TechBuddy's Munich office

Stockholm, 2 September 2020-- The Swedish tech company TechBuddy is coming to Germany. As the company announced today, their tech support service will be available for customers in Munich as of today. TechBuddy created a sophisticated platform that connects a community of certified technicians with customers, to solve their everyday tech needs at the comfort of their home.

According to a study by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Risk and Innovation Research, one out of two people in Germany are interested in technology, but the vast majority feel at the mercy of digitization instead of using digital innovations to their own advantage. A fact that the corona pandemic has made more obvious than ever. Many people lack technical knowledge, from parents who don’t know how to fix WiFi issues at home to teachers who are overwhelmed by offering digital classes. A reality that has turned studying and working from home into a great challenge over the past months.

TechBuddy believes that everyone should be able to live a connected life and benefit from technology. This is why the tech company created a sophisticated platform that connects a community of certified technicians, named Buddies, with customers, to solve their everyday tech needs at the comfort of their home.

“We’re more than excited to offer our service in Germany,” comments CEO Tahero Nori on the launch. “After successfully serving more than 120.000 people in Sweden, Spain and Israel, we’re sure that we can bring great value to people and businesses in Germany by filling the service gap at home and at the office. We learned from partnerships with MediaMarkt in Spain or Telia in Sweden that a great service is just as important as the actual product to deliver an outstanding experience for the customer. On demand service offerings will be the future for every company to meet the customer’s need where it’s most required: at home.”

For their German launch, TechBuddy offers seven different support packages, all at the fixed price of €89 per task. The packages include services such as the set up of a new phone, smart tv or a new laptop, including taking care of challenges like data storage from the old device, configuration of WiFi or the setup and combining of email accounts. Furthermore, the Buddies give independent expert advice on which device to choose for the specific needs of each customer, so they can benefit from all of the functionalities and extend the lifetime of the new product.
